Our History

Pastor Darrell E.Taylor Sr. and Sister Priscilla Taylor are devoted to doing the work that God has called them to do.They are the parents of three children and grandparents of five grandchildren. They where intoduced to the Apostolic Doctrine in 1982 by his aunt {Mrs. Rozella Grier}. A powerful and anointed woman of God, she left a great impact on their lives{ Thank God}.

The two of them where baptize in the Name of Jesus Christ and where filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost in 1984.God called Pastor Taylor with a Holy Calling, in January 1997 to be a minister of the gospel. He completed his minister courses from Aenon Bible College and received his minister license from the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World Organization Inc.

On June 22nd 1999 Pastor Taylor was ordained by Bishop Richard E. Young, in Charleston S.C. at the Carolina State Council Twenty-fourth Episcopal District. In the year of April 2000- Under the leadership of God, Blessed Assurance Community Church was founded. And started it’s first service at Pinewood Elementary School; under the leadership of Pastor Darrell E. Taylor Sr., about nine souls were in attendance but Pastor Taylor still had the vision of building God a church. Nine months later in the direction of God, Pastor Taylor found and made a down payment on four acres of land at 5307 Tuckaseegee Road.and the land truly flow with milk and honey. There where forty- eight pecan trees-two walnut trees-two chesnut trees- and two pear trees on this land January 3rd, 2001 he closed the deal on the property.

August 2001, they broke ground for the new church and on April 2002 the foundation for the church was laid. They had no members at the time just Pastor Taylor and Sister Taylor . But he knew God would finish the great work he had started. His faith in God was strong On March 2003, with the help of skilled labors, some whom have become best friends with him even unto this day, the church finally opened. During the first three months of services twenty-four souls have been baptized in the name of Jesus and six of whom have received the gift of the Holy Ghost.

The church now has members, burdens have been lifted, souls are being saved, lives have been restored, all because of the Name of the Lord is in this place. This is the Lord’s doing.... And it is marvelous in our sight.
